Regional Parts Sales Executive

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Parts Sales Executive to join our successful business development team. With a sales area covering the whole of the Southeast including Essex, Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, your focus will be on winning new customers for genuine Volvo parts and Volvo’s extended offer Truck Shop Europe. Working closely with the front counter and business development teams you will be responsible for following up on leads and generating new leads using all the available sources of information. This role will suit a results-driven sales professional who is skilled at building and developing new relationships with high-value customers.

Your main focus will be;

  • Identifying and developing new business with high value customers.
  • Generating new leads using all available resources.
  • Opening accounts with new customers and lapsed customers.
  • Managing the customer relationship with new accounts to ensure sales are maximised.
  • Developing the relationship with new customers to take advantage of all opportunities.

To succeed in this important and challenging role you will need;

  • A full driving licence.

Vehicle Valeter

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Valeter at our Hythe Depot, Kent. The role will include, cleaning and valeting a wide range of vehicles including HGV’s to a high standard.  On occasions you will also be required to assist with general duties within the workshop such as cleaning and emptying bins.

The candidate that we are looking for will ideally have previous vehicle valeting experience.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Full manual driving licence (car)
  • Vehicle valeting experience, preferably HGV’s
  • A high level of attention to detail, and a desire to do the job “right first time”
  • A reliable, enthusiastic and flexible attitude

Hours: 42 ½ per week, with ½ an hour unpaid lunch break, Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Shift Manager (Workshop Controller)

An opportunity has arisen for a Shift Manager to join the team at Southampton depot.  This important and challenging role requires a self-motivated, ambitious & driven individual with excellent vehicle industry knowledge. Applying your knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics you will effectively delegate technical work to the Workshop Technicians. You will be supported by a Shift Supervisor.  Duties will include:-

  • Motivating and managing a shift of Technicians ensuring efficiency & productivity targets are met
  • Issuing work to Technicians appropriate to their skill set
  • Ensuring repair and service work is carried out to a high standard, monitoring quality
  • Ensuring workshop performance targets (GP, Efficiency, Productivity) and customer expectations are met
  • Obtaining the correct level of authority to carry out repairs
  • Maintaining & using the In-House Tranman system to obtain authority for In-House & MCR vehicles
  • Maintaining accurate paperwork in all areas
  • Processing job cards in a timely manner ensuring daily WIP targets are met
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers, dealing with customer queries and complaints & ensuring
  • To proactively manage & achieve customer expectations
  • Monitor Volvo campaign completion
  • Maintaining and using the Volvo Dealer Point System fully
  • Ensuring staff follow Health & Safety procedures
  • To monitor adherence to Health & Safety in the workshop and take an active role in carrying out any improvements/action plans as required.

We are currently looking for skilled HGV Technicians to join our Depot in Thurrock. Applicants must be skilled and experienced at; MOT preparation, repairing, diagnosing, servicing and maintaining heavy good vehicles to a high standard.

• Current car driving licence (HGV & PSV desirable but not essential)

Monday – Friday: 6.00 am – 3.00 pm.

Week 2

MC Truck and Bus are currently recruiting for high quality Apprentices to train as a Volvo Technician through the award-winning Volvo Technician Apprenticeship Programme which is considered one of the best in the industry.

About the Role: As part of the apprenticeship, you will attend Block Release at Remit’s Training Academy, in Derby, over a period of 3 years and will achieve an IMI level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician qualification. You will be taught how to repair, service and MOT cutting edge technology trucks, buses, luxury coaches, electric vehicles and hybrid.

Duties will include:

  • Working with qualified and experienced Technicians learning how to repair and maintain modern trucks, buses and coaches including hybrid technology and emobility to the highest standards in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Accompany Technicians on road tests.
  • Learn how to use computer aided diagnostic equipment and Volvo special tools, safely and efficiently.
  • Attend college courses regularly and achieve the standards required by the course.

Requirements: Applicants for this position must have a keen interest in the motor industry, good GCSE grades (or equivalent). Due to modern vehicle technology, we require an individual with good numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills to use the systems for diagnosing faults on modern heavy goods and passenger vehicles.
