Joining us this intake are Carl Whittam, Joe Hopkins (Thurrock), Chris Mckeen (Hythe),Dave Carroll-Andrews (Burgess Hill), Lewis McKay (Maidstone), Matthew Neal (Witham).
MC truck and bus have had a long term commitment to growing its own skilled staff and have been involved with the Volvo apprenticeship Programme from the very start.
Volvo apprentice technicians follow a dedicated four year programme and cover all aspects of truck and bus maintenance and repair.
Most of this time is spent within a dealership gaining experience with on-the-job training, plus six two-week periods at the industry’s premier technical college, Stephenson College based in Coalville, Leicestershire.
At Stephenson College they will complete course modules under the expert guidance of a dedicated team of professionals with the sole aim of developing potential.
During the residential block release at the college they will cover technology in engines, transmission and the latest electronic diagnostic techniques covering all vehicle systems.
On successfully completing the Volvo Technician Apprentice Programme they will have gained national qualifications recognised throughout the automotive industry:
- National Certificate in Motor Vehicle Engineering
- NVQ Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
